With funding from the government, this project was led by the MAMM to invite different art, maker and hacking groups to work together for the community. The act as the central agency to invite different groups such as Proyecto NN, Epicentro, Casa Tres Patios to collaborate.

Due to the unique social challenge in the city, art groups and museums play an unique role in Medellin to improve the city. The Museum of Antioquia has even more programmes which are dedicated specifically to working with the community, see the entry here. The museum also hosts international artist, like the William Kentridge exhibition which opened earlier in the week.

The museum building, a former iron factory, is a prime example of the urban redevelopment Medellin is going through. It is located in Ciudad de Rio, an industrial area which has been repurposed for new residential, commercial and arts and cultural center. There is also a park, as part of the residential development, which is very popular amongst locals.
